Great emka 2020-01-20 0:21

hello Gert,

No links, no Workshops? Interesting view of this old city. I was thinking about going to Mardin when I was in Turkey last time, but it was too far. A pity, as it looks fascinating and probably it looks like this also now.

Kind regards Malgo

Default To holmertz: preservation

the law is according with the natural environment of the region. as you know we have many different natural landscapes: atlantic forest, amazon forest, cerrado (brazilian savanna), caatinga (the almost desertic part), pantanal (the largest swamp of the world) pampa (the natural pastures of southern brazil).
in the cerrado region the area that should be protected is 30 percent and in amazon it is 50 percent.
of course this is the letter of the law, but many people don't pay attention in the law in the past, but a new environmental law created more rules. in my state this is very serious, but is remote regions like amazon this is more difficult to be controlled.
I suppose europe and USA haven't similar laws because I ever see rivers and creeks with no protection of trees in the places I visited.
I presume if I get a farm in your country I will be able to remove the trees if I would like or I wouldn't be obligated to plant back 1/5 part of the area with new trees, as we are obligated to do here in my state.

take care

Hello Jorge,
The Swedish forestry laws lay equal importance on the commercial value of the trees and the demands for environmental protection. If you own a forest you are free to cut down the trees, but you are obliged to plant new ones at the same rate.
