Hi Monika,
Fujimori's government even with its strange twists, made a lot of accompishments: Normalizing the economy, ending terrorism, building schools, etc. He did have an authoritarian streak to him which is why there is not a very positive opinion of him abroad, but a country like Peru does need an authoritarian hand to make things work. THat is why people want him back. Regards Daniel
