Thank you John,
No, Vietnam was not dangerous for Americans or any other people from the west. The Vietnamese were surprisingly forgiving. They had laid the war behind them and were only looking forward to a better life. There may have been cases of crime in the big cities, but much less than in Brussels or Stockholm. I felt totally safe everywhere. Kind regards, Gert
