Hi Kath,
A well composed shot and the lighting is just fine. The trees have so much character, that the "mountain" will have to play second fiddle. I like the sweep of fields leading into the frame and the tracks visible there. Its amazingly green for the middle of winter. Is this anywhere near the Cleveland Way? I am planning a walk there in the spring. I like the muted colours here. The tree on the right provides balance and enhancement. Well captured, Kath.

Default To john_c: green

I think the foreground green will be winter wheat planted by the farmer and the rest will be pasture, which tends to stay green all year. We get the autumn ground colours mainly in uncultivated places.
The Cleveland Way goes round the other side of Roseberry. It also goes through Saltburn, which you will know from many of my photos. From Saltburn to the end it is mainly on the cliffs and very picturesque.
