Great Philippe 2006-09-16 5:57

Hi, Kath. This is a very colourful image with good contrasts between the sky and the moor. Your composition frames Roseberry Topping very well and the fact that it is central in the image doesn't disturb me at all. I think I saw Roseberry Topping when walking the C2C a few years ago. It's quite easy to recognize with its typical shape.

Yes I think you would see it in the distance on the Cleveland Hills section, although I don't think the route goes very close. (I haven't done it) Did you enjoy the walk? Not too many over-seas visitors to England venture far north.

I saw it from a distance, it's true. As to the walk, I enjoyed it a lot. Very nice landscapes and great wilderness. We haven't got such huge uninhabited areas in Belgium and walking two or three hours without seeing any houses is quite exceptional here. Meeting people from all over the world walking the same long distance path was also one of the highlights of that adventure. We did it over two summers, from St Bees to Keld in 1999 and from Keld to Robin Hood's Bay in 2000.
