Great LamCam 2007-07-22 7:59

Kalimera Michalis
This is a wonderful photograph, and a valuable record of a way of life that is disappearing fast.I wonder how much bread has been made in that oven over the years.Do the older villagers still use the village bakery for cooking their own food?
I love Greece and can translate and write a little Greek αλλα μονο σιγα σιγα. I have read your messages to zo tos with interest.
I hope to see more of your photographs soon.
Best Wishes Maggie

Geia sou Maggie!
Thanks for your very warm words..
This photograph that it was taken by chance it was the motivation for me to develop an interest in photography..
I think is very powerful image it is moving for me each time I look at it..
Despite the fact that we live in modern rythms, in Crete we keep traditions alive, we try to eat traditionally and listen to local music with cretan lyra and lute.. actually we are very proud of our island... in a degree that often cen be misunderstood.. anyway we think your Greek are good!
nice meeting you

τις καλύτερες ευχές μου
