Great holmertz 2013-08-12 12:01

Hello Kristin,
I guess that when others mention Appalachia, they actually hear the soundtrack of Deliverance in their heads. At least I do, and almost get the creeps. These people look harmless enough, but you never know... ;-)
Abby looks happy but clearly life must have been tough on her (for reasons unknown). She is very expressive and you captured her at a fine moment when the gestures of her hands almost make me hear the sound of her spoons.
Kind regards,
Gert

Default To holmertz: appalachia

living in appalachia, i am getting a bit more used to being around the 'mountain folk,' as they are known down here. as with any group, there are a million different types of people within the general term. and a fair amount of them are quite suspicious of outsiders, so you are right to be a bit cautious.

but some, like abby, have learned to use their mountain charms to their advantage

thanks for the feedback,
warm regards ~
kristin
