Hello Jorge,

I am learning so much about Russian history from reading your notes. Did you do lots of research before your visit.

There is a very interesting history to this monument. The butcher must have been a bit of a hero at the time. I wonder if these tourists knew the story, too.

The sculpture makes a strong f/g feature, backed up by the strong presence of the church. (This would have made a very, very unusual motorcycle shop!)
You have coped with the lighting contrasts well.

I guess it wasn't like a shop of motorcycles, it was like a club of sports linked with them, where the people had classes and meetings, but the sport was done in another place. They used to destroy towers and domes of these religious buildings to kill the religious aspect of them. it was really like the hand of the devil in action.
