Photographer's Note
: I took this photo a couple years ago aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN71) while on a 6 1/2 month cruise. I'm not exactly sure where we were located at the time. I believe we were about a day away from the Suez Canal, so that is why I put Egypt as the Country and just guessed the city it was taken in. I was standing on the fantail (very back of the ship) about to capture this beautiful sunset when the ship began to make a hard turn. The water looked like glass. It was so serene and quiet, and beautiful, but I think that the ship's wake really makes this image.

Good job. Very nice colors, perfect framing. The sunbeams are very clear, the clouds have a beautiful texture as bustles water. Excellent composition with the arc on the sea. All my respect for this lovely shot. Congratulations.

Another very nice scene. I like the ray of the sun and the reflection on water.

Beautifully captured picture. The sea looks amazing. Nicely exposed by getting the sun behind the clouds...Bravo

The quality of the light is quite amazing - you captured it exceptionally well. It has the feel of a CGI rendered scene - almost too good to be real. Nice job.

Nice sunrise. For such pictures the position are not too important. There are already cameras fitted with GPS devices.

this is a very nice image stacey. the ship has created a trail on the surface of the glassy water which guves an idea about it's sharp turn. what surprises me is that you seem very close to the level of the water
take care

It is definitely a pro work.
Just a little suggestion, get a Global Positioning System (GPS) and mark your coordinate and bearing right after taking picture.
You'll never forget the exact location again :)
Cheers!

Wonderful shot! There's nothing like a sunset at sea. One of my favorite times to BE in the Navy. The colors and clouds are fantastic and the ships wake DOES make it extraordinary. From an ex-squid, my sincerest compliments... Shelly
