Photographer's Note

This is Ouzoud Falls, some 150km east of Marrakech.

Travel by car
If you go there by car from Marrakech, I suggest to approach the falls from the north instead of the south. You should take an exit early (R307), go north and then east. It takes a little more time but those roads are spectacular!

The place
The waterfall itself is pretty good. They have created a nice pathway/ steps all the way down and you can find plenty little souvenir shops and restaurants with nice views. On ground level they have boats that go towards the falls, just like in Niagara.

The shot
This was taken from the other side where you can find no restaurants or shops. It was deserted the time I was there. I took a few shots and walked a little further and suddenly I saw a huge frog. H U G E! Big 180 degrees eyes. He was all relaxed and keeping an eye on me and I could see him breath and I was scared that he would jump me and kill me. Than I saw some strange insects in the trees and heard all kinds of strange noises in the bushes and I freaked out and ran to the exit. That jungle stuff at night is not for city people! I warned you. :)

It's not HDR. It was taken with -0.7EV and the highlight were turned down and some shadows were lifted. Handheld but with image stabilizer.
