Photographer's Note

It is hard work getting lost in the souks of Marrakech and at the end of the day you need sustenance. The most popular area for food is the main square - Djemaa el-Fna.
All around the edges are restaurants but at night a large section of the square gets transformed into dozens of street food stalls patronised by both locals and tourists.
To see what this part of then square looks like during the day go to the wrokshop.
I actually took this photo from the upstairs balcony of the Café Argana which was unfortunately bombed in 2011. The balcony provides great views of the area at night as well as cooking up great food. (Moroccan with plenty of flavour unlike some very touristy restaurants).

Best in the large view.
