Photographer's Note

My version of the colors of Marrakech. Taken in Jardin Majorelle or "Bleu Majorelle" as it is known today.

The painter Jacques Majorelle created this garden from 1924 until his death in 1962. Since then the garden has been acquired and restored by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge who have established a trust to ensure the garden's future existence.

Talk about deep colour, this looks just excellent.
Slightly centered but still good.
Sharp features and a solid use of the colours.

That’s what I call a cobalt scene! Did your posemeter freaked out! :-D)

Now, I’m not questionning the interest and beauty of your photo, but I don’t get what so special about it, so YSL would want to buy it... I guess I’m totally ignorant about the value of beauty...

You were right to go for the vertical frame, but I wonder if the door isn’t too much centered in your frame.

Nevertheless, I enjoy the minimalist composition, exploiting the geometric set-up. Your title is equally minimalist but definitely evocative of your image. You’ve captured fine details, thanks to an excellent sharpness and exposure.

John - Great minimalist image with a fabastic blue. I don't know if the image benefits from the small amount of roof tiles on the top left or not!

Seeing such simplicity with great visual impact! You managed to compose such colouful subject. The placement of colours gives emphasis to an image and your skill in this has recognised them and framing it pleasingly!
