*My 100th post*, a photo from Essaouira, South

Photographer's Note

Here it is, my 100th post on TE.

This one was taken in Essaouria, fish market, or something what looked like it. Fisherman's were selling fresh fishes strait from boats or these trolleys. Some of them were really huge - like this one on the photo. I don't know if it's value for one fish or a couple, or different transaction, but I've seen people were paying for for them something about 10-20 euros.

What is in the tub? Looks like some kind of slimy eel. You wouldn't catch me paying 10-20E for that, but then again I am not much of a cook. I wouldn't mind seeing a bit more of the face of the guy on the right; not sure how to get that angle though. The colors are nice here and I am drawn to the sloping background, in part because of how the guy is anchoring the right side of the frame. Nice shot.

Hello Maciej.
Congratulations on your 100th post. I like the angle here...not to drastic, yet giving the shot some life. You also get some nice contrasting angles from the arm on the left pointing and the arm of the yellow man on the right. They appear to be eels to me...not so sure though. Good shot again, look forward to 100 more.

Congratz for your #100! This is a good, straight forward documentary from the market. I particularly like the pointing finger at that 'snake fish'...and the colours and details are fascinating here. great scene, very well done!

I dont know if you ever tried to catch one of those eels and if yes give me your trick.

There is no feasible solution in trying to capture those with nake hands...worse than catching a wet soap... but to capture them with a Canon EOS 350D Digital is a very easy task...

Ah Essaouira, a place I really enjoyed much, I remember very well this busy fish market for having eaten there at one of the small stands, I like the dynamic involved by the several people around, especially the pointing hand and the man on the right, puts the viewer right into the action.

Maciej: they appear to be eels. I like off-horizon shots like this in busy market areas - it captures more of the frenetic bustel that way. Nice and sharp too. best, c
