Photographer's Note
Taken in the beautiful city of SwaKopmund. Swakopmund is a beach resort and an excellently preserved example of German colonial architecture. It was founded in 1892 as the main harbor for German South-West Africa. It is one of the few places anywhere outside of Europe where a sizable minority of the population speaks German and has German roots

Pat, you'll have to teach me how you capture dreams on film as you've certainly done it here.
I cannot believe this is not a painting. Simply stunning.
Amazingly sharp detail, rich colors (maybe a tad over saturated) and I love the composition of the pier leading us out into the sea.
Can you tell us what type of PP work went into this?
Kind Regards,
- Dan

A remarkable well composed and beautiful image with such finely nuanced colours and textures. I like the perspective and the entire colour scheme which is vivid and marvelous

Greetings Pat,
Wonderful Shot and well presented. Indeed it looked like fantasies redrawn on the canvas. The colors, the details and the composition, everything is perfect. Might be a bit on the higher saturation side but i just love colors :).

Gorgeous shot. I could feel the depth in the photo with the use of the pier and the lighting is fabulous. I wish I could capture something like this one day.

Hi Pat, great POV and execution of this shot. I find the colours just a little unnatural looking though. cheers, Steve

Hi Pat,
Everything in this image is spot on up to the post-processing for me. I mean only respectful honesty when I say that the saturation has been boosted way too far on this image. I appreciate that saturation is largely a matter of taste but to my eye this image says "digital" more than "Velvia". I absolutely mean no disrespect and truly enjoy your work.
Cheers!

Bonjour Pat
ce montage photographique est superbe, cette jettée qui s'avance dans la mer aux couleurs douces et ces pierres de couleurs en avant plan, c'est de toute beauté, bravo.

Very well composed photo with lots of details. But I think saturation is pushed a bit too far. While blue sky and blue water looks nice and quite realistic, orange stone one the bottom left corner is clearly over saturated.

I would eat those colors, it's as if you put the picture in a box of painting ... Marvelous saturated result.
What a picture and what a perspective !

My gosh, I don't even know what to say. This picture looks like paraidse. I love what you do with water, and with colours. What sort of editing did you use? This is just fabulous, I could look at your photos for hours.
Cheers,
