Photographer's Note
A typical southern California street, one of the thousands in the suburbs throughout the LA area. Not all that different from many others but I wanted to post a shot of daily life in this area, since I'm from there and grew up in houses not unlike these in many different parts of CA. I don't see too many photos of typical neighborhoods on TE, so I thought I would post a few...
So, info about this town in particular: the City of Chino is in the westernmost part of San Bernardino County, the largest county in California; it was incorporated in 1910. It's agricultural history, however, dates to the Spanish land grant that formed the Rancho Santa Ana del Chino, which specialized in orchard and row crops and was once the largest dairy area in the US, but most of the dairies are moving out now. Honestly, it's now best at "growing" houses (!) because there has been tremendous development over the last decade, and many industrial buildings now sit on the sites of old dairies and farms, but there are still numerous dairies in adjacent cities, such as Corona and Norco. It also has its own small fairgrounds and a municipal airport which hosts the famous Chino Air Show each year.

Hey Terez, I live in one of the many suburbs in Southern California. You're definitely right -- there isn't enough shots like this on TE, places where you would not venture into unless you're a local. This is a nice shot, with good composition. I think the whites are a just little over-exposed and colors over-saturated, though. Thanks for sharing.
