Counting money is a fine tradition all over the world :-)
The woman's clothes are fantastic and she is seated well in a profile. The white umbrella makes a perfect background. Her wrist watch shows that traditions and modern life go well together. The mild light is perfect.

Very moody and atmospheric shot. Especialy I like a natural pose of the woman counting the many. Super POV and DOF. Perfect light management and sharpness of details (ginger) in contrast with blurred (garlic)

Le cadrage est parfait, avec le parasol parfaitement calé dans l'angle.
Les couleurs sont très attractives sur ce fond clair.

Ola Pascale! This is a great portrait and i dont know what i love most on it. It is a perfectly balanced, composition-wise and the colors up to the umbrella in the background. Admirable is also the sharpness and the blurring. One of my fave photos! Thanks for sharing, rgds alex

i think you said it best, its the long retained cultural identity that is so strongly seen here.
without the colors, i think alot would be lost, it really does come alive this way.
funny how someone like herself is wearing a modern watch!

What a lovely photo....such great colors to her cloth and skin. I remember Dali well, great place, and like you say; many ethnic minorities! Beautifully done, simple and pure with the umbrella in the background and garlic in front..hehe. Not always easy to catch such a great view, seeing as so often everyone seeks the shade. Hi Pascale
This is great street shot of a woman vendor and her occupation counting her dailing taking. Plenty of interest and well detailed, the big parasol provides a nice frame and fill-in light as well. Excellent clarity and the moment well caught, the dress etc make great photographic subjects for tis would get the message across in an indirect way, as these are important to what she does for a living. The colors are delightful, the equally important elements that combine to lift this image so well. Great capture and good eyes. Well done. Congrats

Bonjour Pascale
Une expression arborant une mine satisfaite bien saisie de cette marchande d'ail, de gingembre et autres végétaux. Au 1/50s, ta main n'a pas tremblée, son visage est bien net et les détails de sa tenue vestimentaire (sa coiffe est intéressante) sont bien visibles. L'ombrelle est un autre détail qui me plait bien et qui ici fait office de toile de fond.
