Photographer's Note
Lednice is a village in South Moravia in the Czech Republic. In 1996 it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List (together with the twin manor of Valtice) as "an exceptional example of the designed landscape that evolved in the Enlightenment and afterwards under the care of a single family." It contains a palace and the largest park in the country, which covers 200 km².
Since Lednice/Eisgrub first passed into the hands of the House of Liechtenstein in the mid-13th century, its fortunes had been tied inseparably to those of that noble family. The palace of Lednice began its life as a Renaissance villa; in the 17th century it became a summer residence of the ruling Princes of Liechtenstein. The estate house – designed and furbished by baroque architects Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach, Domenico Martinelli, and Anton Johan Ospel – proclaimed rural luxury on the grandest scale. In 1846–58 it was extensively rebuilt in a Neo-Gothic style under the supervision of Georg Wingelmüller.
The surrounding park is laid out in an English garden style and contains a range of Romantic follies by Joseph Hardtmuth, including the artificial ruins of a medieval castle on the bank of the Thaya/Dyje River (1801) and a solitary sixty-metre minaret, reputedly the tallest outside the Muslim world at the time of its construction (1797–1804).

Witaj Krzysztof,
The deep red tulips make a superb lead onto the pastel tones of the elegant looking castle. I like the framing and the excellent light and colours.

Hello Krzysztof,
you've coped with several big challenges for this shot and the result you got is superb. It's amazing how you managed to portray the palace with such good sharpness, despite the adverse lighting conditions, the distance and the beautiful, luminous distraction of the tulip field. Your composition has a fine dynamism and stunning definition in the foreground too. I like very much how you combined the vibrancy of the red tulips with the elegance and suggestiveness of the building. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
Ourania

Ciao Krysztof
Complimenti
Ciao e buona serata
Romano

Hi Krzysztof
This is a beautiful composition, the castle in its own right is a fantastic subject, but to have the deep forest of tulips like this in the foreground is a masterful idea, bringing life and color to the scene.
Really nicely done, thanks
all the best

Hello Krzysztof.
An image with a powerful chromaticism, with these red tulips in the foreground, which remove prominence to the beautiful castle, large trees are a nice complement.
A splendid colorful together with magnificent light and crisp, gives a perfect picture to admire.
Have a good night.
Best regards.
Luis.

Hi Krzysztof
the very very top portion of the photo is a bit overexposed, but that doesn't take away from the overall elegance, richness and attractiveness of the scene.
the red tulips are fantastic!
as is the architecture in the bg, I really like how you composed this one.
nice shot
