Land is limited on the Island of Saint Maarten, therefore arriving jets fly extremely low to Maho Beach as you can see.

Oh !!! Scary ! This is a very unusual capture and shows well the "crazyness" of this place !! How enjoying a sunbath with so much noise ???? And nobody seems to notice it on the beauch ! How can it be allowed ? It might be quite dangerous ? If the pilot have a problem or something... Crazy...

WOW! Scary indeed! I thought at first it was a tricked photo... but then I saw the shadow of the plane on the beach! It is simply crazy... no wonder it's an American plane...

Classic scene well known from airliners.net. But it's always as impressive. You have a very good PoV showing the beachline and sunbathers. And you had luck with those clouds too, they surround the aircraft nicely.

it is really a scary scene!! I think that this beach is not very enjoyable!
You captured the happening very well, it is really strange to es a plane so low over turists heads!

Hi Rob, this is quite incredible. Who on earth would want to spend their summer holiday sitting at the end of a runway - even if it is by the sea and covered with sand. The noise must be horrendous!

This is a great shot of this AA flight landing at Princess Julianna airport. Your composition is fine placing the place in the rear of the frame with the open space in front of it. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF. I have a couple of similar shots in my gallery from the Sunset Beach Bar. This is an Air France airbus arriving
