Manning Lookout, a photo from New South Wales, East

Photographer's Note

My last posting for 2 months as we are hitting the road to outback and tropical Queensland.
This photo was taken from Manning Lookout in Morton National Park, one of several NPs around where I live. To reach this lookout requires a drive down a very rough road in need of maintenance. The reward when you get there is views over the beautiful Kangaroo Valley and also of colourful sand stone cliffs.
These worn pillars are a highlight.
I actually went out there to take macro photos of the wildflowers hence the use of my macro lens when the sun suddenly came out shining on the cliff.

Hello Ian

I do not know the Blue Mountains very well outside of the 3 sisters at Echo point, which looks somewhat similar to this. Good sharpness and a lucky catch of the full sunlight during a fickle day of clouds. Tfs!

On ne sait jamais avec quel genre de photo on va revenir quand on sort avec sa caméra. Ces rochers sont très impressionnants avec les différentes couleurs de la vieillesse.

Glad to see your photos after long break! Just impressive nature in this part of Australia. Well, once I had similar situation, when I got 50 mm macro lens in Florida only.
It was really amazing experience.

Hello Ian, The rocks here remind me of the famous Three Sisters in the Blue Mountains near Sydney. Wonderful steep rocks covered by forests. Will you explore outback in Queensland for two months? Wow. All the best, have a great time :).
