Photographer's Note

Located between the Western Ghats Mountains and the Arabian Sea, Kerala is an enchanting mosaic of coconut groves and paddy fields, open beaches, labyrinthine backwaters, verdant hills and monsoon forests.

Enrich the cultural variety of the three religions, whose seeds germinate here in the past. Hinduism, the majority religion, is practiced with a single vein to the rigor that no entry to Hindu temples. Christianity, the creed of a quarter of the population, comes here from the hand of the apostle St. Thomas, lie that Islam was introduced by Arab traders in the seventh century.

Photo is held in a small village, where we make a little pit stop, I liked the image of the village houses and men making bricks for construction.

Ubicada entre los montes Ghates occidentales y el mar Arabigo, Kerala es un encantador mosaico de campos de cocoteros y arrozales, playas abiertas y laberinticos brazos de mar, verdes colinas y bosques monzónicos.

Enriquecen su variedad cultural las tres religiones, cuyas semillas germinaron aquí en el pasado. El hinduismo, la religión mayoritaria, se practica con un singular rigor que veta a los no hinduistas la entrada a los templos. El cristianismo, credo de una cuarta parte de la población, llega hasta aquí de la mano del apóstol santo Tomas, mientas que el islam fue introducido por los comerciantes árabes en el siglo VII.

La foto está realizada en una pequeña aldea, donde realizamos una pequeña parada técnica, me gusto la imagen con una de las casas del poblado y los hombres fabricando adobes para la construccion.

A great composition showing us both , a scne of teh daily life , the interesting architecture and teh splendid landscape . You've chosen a perfect POV , to place the hut in the same diagonal than the mountain in the BG .

Très intéressante de voir ces travailleurs à l'oeuvre dans un si beau décor. J'aime bien l'habitation en forme de pyramide à travers cette belle verdure et devant la montagne. Une belle présentation avec de superbes couleurs.

Yes, you have a little bit of everything here.
a very attractive scene squeezed into the frame.

Hola Luis, A most interesting picture of this thatched roof house with the workmen in the foreground.It would appear that this is a poor part of the country, however having never been there I can only speculate. I really like the earthtones here with the contrast to the green vegetation. The large mountain provides a good background for the shot as well. Very nicely done. Regards, Roger

Hola Luis,
Those red bricks ready for the builderes, have a unique color from local stone probably.
Good overwhell perspective, the mountain overshadow the cone shaped hut with same look, and the trees make a divission between.

Hi Luis,
very attractive capture. I like the natural setting of the village with the incredible mountain dominating the view. Great colors introduce an unusual feeling. It really feels like a photo taken in prehistoric times due to the advancement (or lack of it) of technology used to build this structure.

Bonsoir Luis,
Une image intéressante que tu nous proposes là: la fabrication des briques en Inde.Un travail de vie quotidienne encore très artisanal pour ces hommes et femmes, sous des chaleurs très souvent accablantes.Une image haute en couleurs, de très beau contrastes et un cadrage parfait.

Hola Luis,
una imagen muy realista de la vida cotidiana en este pueblo donde parásteis, y que captaste con gran eficiencia.
Me gusta la similitud de la edificación tradicional piramidal y la montaña detrás suyo, así como la actividad de la gente fabricando ladrillos de adobe.
La luz era muy agradable, y los colores quedaron bien saturados, dando una alta calidad a la imagen, y mucha fuerza estética.
Es una composición muy rica, un placer para la vista.
