Photographer's Note

on one of my trekking tours I've seen this old man living alone in a village near Eşme and making his life by doing baskets of all kinds. I promised to post him this picture but afterwards I lost the adress, I still remember my words from time to time and I feel terrible sorry for I couldn't do my promise; probably he's dead because there happened 3 big earthquakes at that region since that time and maybe half of the population had lost.What a pity !

Good daily life shot,with capturing a special portrait and his ambient,well captured and with a fine perspective you composed the view nicely,I like it,dear Nejat,alos could be change it in sepia,still nice one,Thanks for sharing.

At first, I always have problem to "read" a picture from right to left but after a adaptation time, they still in mind mind for a long time.
Great compo and POV. I really like it.

i like the guy's sad expression here.. A good compo. as well. only thing bothers me is this washed out sky though.. I would rather have that excluded..

Merhaba Nejat,
Hem resim hem de not olarak oldukça dokunaklı. Yaşlı adamın tepkisizmiş gibi görünen yüz ifadesi fevkalade. Sola uzayan ahşap yapı ve sondaki obje kompozisyonu oldukça zenginleştirmiş. Ellerinize sağlık.
Siyah/Beyaz bir çalışma yaptım. Umarım hoşlanırsınız. Selamlar...

Hi Nejat. This is a very interesting photo beacause is very expressive. With a good composition and a simple light, the photo is fit of a National Geographic article.

Olá Nejat! Gostei de sua foto, mas farei um recorte na imagem utilizando Photoshop, já que as imagens na esquerda da foto não estão muito nítidas . Acho que deveria ter aberto mais, para a paisagem de fundo ou fechado no velho, como verá em meu trabalho no wokshop. Abraço!

In my opinion with sepia colour or B&W this pic comes out perfect... old good times... works that are fading.

Excellent photo. There is good detail in this man's face showing years of hard work. The POV and composition are very good as well and the inclusion of the cow and the whole house give it a very rustic, old world feel. Congratulations.
