Photographer's Note
View over Batur Lake from the road to Klungkung. Mount Batur (1717m. alt) is at left, the village below is Kedisan, along the shore to the right of Kedisan are potato, onion, and garlic fields (zoomed details will be added to WS) Lake elevation is around 800m., the climate is much cooler than at the coast.
0.6 ND Grad filter also used. Maybe on tripod as well, I don't remember exactly.

Hola Tan... Astonishing view, of course, it reminds me somehow to the fiords of Norway. Not sure about the tree on the right, but not a big deal. Take care.

Hi Tan,
a very surprising impression of this part of Bali, it really looks very cold. Your composition is excellent with an amazing depth and crystal clear colours. Great work!

Tan,
This is a wonderful view and not your typical view of Bali. The clarity is great, that make it look as if you're not in a tropical area. This image give a really good impression of the whole area and surrounding with beautiful lake and tropical mountains range filled with green forest. Great DoF, we can very nice detail all the way back to where the lake disappear. I truly enjoy the workshop of extra close up shot with really great details of the patches of rice fied and lake. Thanks for the extra efforts. This is on my list of places to visit.

Hi Tan
excellent shot great depth and perfect sharpness. The balance of light is superb, with the cloud giving some shadow to the mountain on the left.
very natural colours. to me the only thing is the tree on the right that blocks the view a little
but a very nice job
cheers

Hi Tan,
Excellent high viewpoint again. I can imagine this lake has vulcanic background with all the peaks around it. Very good clear weather. Uneven polarizing of wide angle disturbs a little. I'd prefer slightly less foreground by cropping a little from bottom and right.

Hi Captain,
elevated pov, eh ? Your signature is there as is the wide angle effect sensible on the sides, now here we also see that combining wide angle and pola results in differences in the sky, which are not too pleasant.
Have a nice day JY

Hi Tan,
An image of vivid colors and good exposure control. I'm sure the polarizer was a good tool in this case. I just think the combination grad filter/polarizer sometimes produce an undesirable effect on the sky. I myself had that problem in some photos. What I like more in this shot is the lower part with great details on the village and the intense green tones. Well done!

Carlos

Muhteşem güzellikte bir manzara. Gölün maviliği enfes. Bakış açısı da çok uygun. Sadece sol üst taraf biraz fazla parlamış gibi geldi. WS'deki tarla fotoğrafları da oldukça göz alıcı. Zaten galerinizdeki birçok fotoğraf ansiklopedilerde, coğrafya kitaplarında kullanılabilecek güzellikte. Tebrikler.

Hi Tan
I don't remember this view, especially with the farms near the lake...I think we went through the road which would be to the left of the frame, from where two volcanoes are visible. Thanks for adding the closeup views of the fields as well. The wide angle view is just spectacular...I think the difference in shades of blue in the sky is owing to the polariser.
With Regards

Tremendous scale and dimension .. I love the way the tree on the right adds to the dimension .. and the sense of wind. tremendous. Take care, John
