Weeping Plane Tree, a photo from Bursa, Marmara

Photographer's Note

This beautiful village is called Golyazi which is located on the shores of Apolyont lake.In the background you see a giant plane tree which is 735 years old and is called Weeping Plane Tree.
It is one of the main tourist attractions of Golyazi and tourists come to visit this monumental tree to make a wish.It is believed that the tree weeps because of an epic,sad and impossible love story between a Turkish boy and a greek girl who lived in this village.

Hi Emin,

Beautiful shot, like a post card espeically with your shadow effect The boat is perfectly place for a very lovely composition. Beautiful colors due to the great light and the reflection are like blue silk. Good sharpness and details and good quality photo.

Hi Emin !!
I am back home after driving 23 000 Km in just under 6 months.Sorry that I was unable to keep participating in Trekearth for a while, I was on the move most the time.
Lovely colours and reflections in the water.You should take a photo of the tree with full foliage so we can get a better idea of its magnificence.
