Photographer's Note

Anapji is a pleasure pond built by the Silla kings in the city of Gyeongju, South Korea. This pond was built in 674 to house exotic flora and fauna. Gyeongju these days has many UNESCO wolrd heritage sites such as this, and the city (population 280,000 today) once had a population of 1 million people during it's prime 57BC-935AD.
