Photographer's Note
Continuing my little series about the German low mountains range Rhön here I show you a view from top of its most striking mountain, the Milseburg (835 m). I showed you this basalt cone some days ago.
In the valley you can see the village Kleinsassen. Since 1886 there is a colony of artists, mainly painters. You can find works of art everywhere in the village and several exhibitions take place here every year.
As I told you already in my note to the linked photo, Alexander von Humboldt visited Milseburg. He called Milseburg "Germany's most beautiful mountain".
In my opinion he's right ... climbing up here you leave the world behind you.
In the workshop you can see a closeup view of Kleinsassen.

Hello Frank,
I remember seeing the basalt cone, and this remarkable view. Along with the extraordinary view, you've provided a succinct, but very informative note. I find fascinating the information about von Humboldt having visited Milseburg.
Warm regards,

Hello Frank,
A beautiful landscape indeed. I like your composition with the craggy rocks and the autumn coloured trees on the foreground and the lower lying landscape in all the various shades of green and with the small village. Your usual very natural colours with good clarity.
Greetings from Espoo, which is totally grey, windy and rainy today.

So you're climbed it! Great photo again, it seemed to be not so high on your previous photos, more like a hill. But here it's visible that it's Huge One.
Greetings!

Hi Frank,
You continuously show us new areas of Germany. This place is just 4 hours and 42 minutes from Kiel according to Google Maps! Apparently a lot of walking treks here as well. Beautiful and informative picture!

Guten Morgen Frank,

Hello Frank,
A great view over this lovely countryside. Good framing from the foreground rocks and autumn foliage, which also makes a pleasing contrast with the green fields beyond. Fine natural colours and good sharpness throughout.

Guten Tag Frank,
Is many splendid places in Europe, and in this many from them are places placed in Your country. Such places how one, and such view how this force to the reflection, that the world is really beautiful! Well it would become, if we could leave this beauty for next generations. Beautiful picture, very good composition outright nostalgic and romantic. Splendid diffused light in the delicate fog.
Best regards from cold, but solar and rainless Poznan,

Hallo Frank,
Norden

Hello Frank,
A very well composed picture indeed. The rocks in the fg create a diagonal line, whereas there's a line going diagonally in the other direction through the village. In one corner is a patch of forest in beautiful autumn colour, and opposite it is a purely green forest. I like the well captured haze in the lower part of the sky.
Regards,
Gert

Hallo lieber Frank,
mfg

Hallo Frank,
This high POV is perfect to catch the great beauty of this soft landscape and to give a great depth to the image.
The patchwork that there compose the colors of the fields and the forests has a nice aesthetic effect, which is completed by the contrast created by the village, splashing with color the landscape.
A nice work, my friend.
Regards from the soft (19ºC) and sunny Barcelona.

Hallo Frank,
