Photographer's Note
Petroglyphs
The Milk River in S.E. Alberta runs through Writing On Stone Provincial Park. The area is rich with Petroglyphs and Pictographs on the sandstone cliffs.
These two figures are shield-bearing warriors with an inverted V head. Both are armed with spears, the foremost warrior is carrying his with the point to the rear.
I would guess that these Petroglyphs might be from the late 1700s.

I am in "Southland" where the aboriginals also left testaments to their early presence...
So your shot spoke to me!
I have left a few notes in the WS. Compo is excellent, just some sharpening and contrast suggested
Great find! And super to see this on TrekEarth!
PS My guess is that these petroglyphs are much older than from 1700s...
