I have looked several times to this image and each time I like it more and more. It is subtle, evocative... very delicate.

Its funny how the boats make all the difference in the frame..even haridwar shares the deep side of spirituality and is one of the most holiest sites, but does not create the feeling that i get seeing the benaras shots from you, from the other photogs. Trust me i wandered the ghats well before dawn and found none like this..or may be there was just too many people, even at pre-dawn..tens of thousands..too much "noise"..

Perfect for my taste..the undefined forms..dreamy..evocative is the right word ;)

It´s nice color and and a story we don´t know, something indistict, murmurous, something to think about and something which leaves unanswered.

very nice feel to the image, but the eyes are drawn to the left of the image -to the lady and the boat. Lot of empty space to the right. A vertical compostion could have done better. The `full lady' (instead of the crop) would have also worked well

wonderful blue color,placement of element are equally good...but may be the lack of sharpness or shake ruin the shot..but still its a good shot...

Hi Animesh,

A very wonderful post. The blurring and out of focus has given a different meaning to the image. The blue hour and the boats add a different dimension to the work.

I don't need to know anything about this image to get a sound grasp of it's mood. In fact, I misread the title as "window" and yet, I was still caught by the mood.
Maybe not the actual mood but, at least, a mood arisen from my own void passed across the waters.
