Mountain Village, a photo from Sor-Trondelag, South

Photographer's Note

It is spring in the mountain village, but as you can see the snow is not far away.

However the temperature was fair this day, in the beginning of the short and hectic Nordic summer. The fields are getting green, and the trees put on fresh foliage after winter…

A few hundred souls live in and near this village that has a couple of shops, an elementary school and a kindergarten, and as you can see – a small church with a graveyard.

And the sun was bright and the air clean!

Hello Pablo ,
Like especially to see this view , because it shows us the early sping in the nordis mounatins . Grass is still brown , but the greenery is coming . The same for the trees . Some remains of snow on the hills .
This is also a well composed picture and a fine village .

The point of view is sending my eyes toward rhe mountains which is giving depth to the composition. It is also showing the details and colors of the houses and of the church. The morning light is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Pablo,
This scene is picture book perfect, I love the way you've composed the image. Leaving such a large area for the sky has worked perfectly. The large sky dominates the image and gives the scene a true feeling of Spring. Even the little tractor is in the right place for you. The slanting light creates deep contrasting shadows with lots of depth.
Good to see you are coming out of hibernation yourself.
It's a lovely capture.

Hei Pablo,

A very nice spring scene. Even for me as a Scandinavian it is a bit surprising to see lush green trees at the same time as there is snow left in the shaded part of the field on the 11th of May. On the other hand 2011 has not been an ordinary year weatherwise in Northern Europe. Personally I expericenced both winter and summer weather in the month of April. TFS and have a nice weekend!
