Beautiful light, colors. Very good idea to use harsh textures for a backgroud for a child. Often explored in portraits.

Very beautiful portrait of the girl with the cat, wish the cat was facing the camera, but overall it's a brilliant piece of art. There is something mysterious about the picture... the desaturated treatment with the slight DOF creates a feel of a painting...as if there is a great story waiting...waiting to be untold

although i am not very active there i ve been following your work on holik as well, but still great to see you around here hugh... this is a lovely portrait for sure, and the best thing about it is the light... especially on her face, a beautiful face that is... the framing is a bit too tight at her left foot may be>:P, but still great pal...

Hi Hugh,

The monotonic cast sets such a great mood; one that of timelessness. I wonder what type of relationshio there can be between a feral cat and a young girl, one of affection maybe. But, this rendition surely transcend any relationship.
