Photographer's Note
I visited Tonle Sap Lake and the floating village Prek Toal. Here a western couple are being transported across the lake. I liked the colourful parasol the woman was holding.
The people live here all year, they rarely go to any land, the lake is their life. An awesome place to visit. a couple of thousand people live in these floating villages on the huge lake.

Hello Chris,
What a lovely vacation with a small boat on the river, indeed the parasol of the lady is a nice attraction.
The woman as driver makes a very nice movement with her paddle.
Excellent composituion, nice captured.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice Sunday,
John.

Hello Chris,
A peaceful boat trip for two plus the oarslady. I like the panoramic framing designed to encompass the-reflections and the charming houses in the background. Also, the lighting and colours.

Bonjour Chris
On est très loin du glamour des gondoles de Venise.Le couple semble bien apprécier le moment sous le parasol multicolore tandis que la dame rame de son mieux. J'aime beaucoup l'arrière plan de petites maisons.
Bon dimanche

Hello Chris,
this is great capture and the contrast of the cultures is actually quite funny. There is the Cambodian woman in her every day clothes which differ so much from the outfits of tourist and there is also this colorful umbrella which seems to be so out of place. Interesting landscape has been used for the settings.
Thanks for sharing

Hello Chris,
Not only the parasol is colourful. The simple houses of the inhabitants of this floating village look certainly as colourful.
Beautiful reflections on the foreground.
The many ripples on the water give the picture a good sense of depth.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Chris
I like the angle, low and close with great dof and the speck of vivid colours to click the eyes. This is just the sort of shot I would love to snap with the moving canoe and the exotic floating village. A very scenic spot filled by the gorgeous light and tones! and great you have the eye for this precise moment well spotted, composed and excellent execution. Congrats
Best regards

Hello Chris,
When we took a boat ride on Tonle Sap in 2012 we were the only tourists which seemed strange. It is an amazing place to visit and view a different way of life. I love the way that you have captured the colours of the village on stilts and the boat. The multi-coloured umbrella is a nice added touch.
A super image.
Kind Regards, Ann
