Photographer's Note
This is a picture from Cambodia, capturing daily life of Cambodians who use ferry to take them from one side of Phnom Penh to the other side. Everyday you would a lot of people taking the ferry as a means of doing business or visiting. It takes too much time to go from one side to the other. The economic grow would be faster if there is a bridge. Why the government took it for granted? I knew that one bridge is going to be built but it is like 50KM frm here. Still, this area is the most populated place and very close to the capital city, but the livelihood of the people is so poor. No bridge is like a great division of the rich and the poor, and so the poor gets poorer, and the rich gets richer.

Bonjour,
On ne s'étonne pas des risques de naufrage !
Bonne journée.

This is really a shame, a bridge might look expensive to build but in the long run it will return the investment big time.
Btw, a wider angle here would help understand where we are.

I look at Phnom Penh map and see only two bridges at different parts of the city, it is really not comfortable. In Bangkok I use boat to get to another side of the river, and it was big fun for me. But if I had to do it twice a day my hole life, it can be not so fun...

Hi Sonthy,
It looks incredibly from this perspective! Great shot, very expressive! The ferry must be very crowded. The decision of building a bridge isn't easy with regard to economy and/or politics...
I like this photo very much, especially the composition.
Best regards,
Andrzej
