Photographer's Note
This was taken probably an hour after this , when the wall starts descending down to this low point before going up again.
Here you can see a faint 'tail' of the wall on the right. As usual, sections of the wall were built on the ridges of the mountain ranges. Some sections were built purely for defense, others were like roads linking various garrison points.

You have a nice point of view, given the feeling of how steep it is.
The picture itself is a poor quality with lots of noise, probably due to the scanning process, but I think it work in a sense with this potrait.

Bonsoir Cheuk,
une photo dans des teintes et des lumières spéicales pour nous présenter une des merveilles du monde.
Il y a tellement de plans à réaliser en la parcourant.
Je trouve ta présentation originale.
Bien à toi.
Daniel.

Hi Cheuk,
A superb POV and framing, i like the DOF with focus fading as you get further in the picture... then there is the quality issue... yes a lot of noise and a color cast on top of the image, but the atmosphere is good enough to excuse these things!
Cheers

Hi Cheuk,
Excellent follow-up to your previous image. The Tri-X once again brings back that age-less effect.

Fantastic tonal range here Cheuk. From the nice bright areas to the darks, and all in between. A beautiful seren view. So glad its empty of crowds that cheapen this place.

Bonjour Cheuk,
A perfecy compo, the eye follows the wall through the picture.
I like mist and DOF management you did, too.
And beautiful BW work.
Great one,

JB.

Hi Cheuk
Wonderful tonal range, with a good pov & excellent sharpness. I like the unddulating curves of the Great Wall, across the landscape. Tfs!

Well composed image of the Great Wall woith plenty of lines leading the eye to the main points of interest. You have captured the misty atmosphere perfectly as we can see the landscape fading as the distance increases.

Nice perspective, and the b&w gives a sense of history and permanence.
Interesting walk you made!
Thanks

Nice grainy and well-contrasted photo from the wall, Cheuk-Hin. The vantage point is well chosen to show the unique way in which the wall is adopted to the undulating surface of the hills, and the foggy weather delivers an added treat with the way everything is gradually and subtly vanishing into the haze.

hat's a very decent shot of the Wall, Cheuk, well composed with that fine gradation of tones from deep black and sharp in the foreground to misty grey beyond.
Cool,
Francis

Hello Cheuk
Very clever the perspective you have defined in this one
It drives the viewer to begin from the bottom right and end to the left, the fog and the noisy film you selected create an excellent atmosphere.
Well done
Regards
Stelios
