Photographer's Note
In the main shopping drag of Tianjin are a number of bridal shops, where they deck you up and take your photo if you are getting married. There are two women in their wedding dresses in this photo. I don't think it is actually their wedding day, they are just trying on the dress and for some reason are walking through this back alley just off the main pedestrial mall of Tianjin.

This is a really good TE daily shot. It looks so strange seeing the two brides in this back alley type of street. Good in B&W, maybe a touch more contrast, but really nice.

This a superb moment and a superb picture. BW was the good choice, composition is perfect (girl, bycicles, banners full of chinese signs). I like the foreground girl behind the net of her dress and the fact that she's wearing sandals is funny.

hi Josh, nice work, the surroundings are great, all those bricks and chinese characters, people are interesting too, i wish you had waited a second or two more to have the bride close and the groom would be more seen. anyway, it is a good stuff

Excellent picture Josh! What a unique catch, not just one bride to shoot, there were even two! What a bonus, that element of repetition ;-) I like it a lot, a very surreal scenery actually. Makes it work so well I think. Congrats Josh!

Interesting picture isn't it? Trying wedding dresses in such a place, what can you see? Only in China!

all said.. (commented by very good photgraphers here for me)..it just gives me a weird feeling to think (and that's what I thought) is that she is not a very happy bride..too much attribution? maybe..but I like to watch people in the tube and make up their stories too :)
thanks..
adding a little contrast and even adding sharpness to get stronger blacks would be great for me too..

Nice shot in BW
i especially liked how you captured the lady in fornt half veiling her face. And capturing this in a narrow backalley, very graphical.
the sandals brings the whole fantasy down to earth doesn't it ? :)

Nice picture in B&W, that shows us how people live in the back alleys of a Chinese city!
I hope you don't mind me adding it to my group theme "Brides-Grooms-Mariés".
I have posted a WS that brings out the white a bit more, as it's about weddings!
I believe Chinese brides used to wear red. Does it sometimes still happen nowadays?
Regards.
Marie Louise.
