I took this picture at a temple in Guangxi China. I always liked this picture because this guy is so devoted to his religion and beliefs that he stopped to pray in the midst of hundreds of people. He didn't mind or seem to care about the crowd he was focused on his purpose.

Never saw a muslim to pray while carring something on his back, if he is a muslim.
this figure is called 'Sajdeh'. and it is said when u sajdeh your sins may fall down from your shoulders.

I really like the tones and details here Kevin, but perhaps would have composed it slightly different, keeping your subject in the far left and thereby givign him more room in front for his prayer.

Nice light on this man - as he pays his respects. You got him in an amazing pose - one can feel his spiritual love while he prays on the ground in a crowd.

Kevin,

Great capture. The tones are perfect with the slate gray of the stones and the slate purple of his robes. You've placed him on the diagonal of the frame which I think works well compositionally. I also like how the stone surface beneath him seems to gradually vanish into the distance. Cool stuff.
