Photographer's Note

Taken after a 12-hour flight from Paris to Hong Kong on the 26th of November …

That was my first travel to Asia.

It had been more or less a sleepless night, I spent it watching the screen in front of me, and I could see that the plane was over Russia, Oural mountains, Siberia, Mongolia and China … The distance between Paris and Hong Kong is about 9700 kms. I followed on the screen the altitude (about 11125 meters), the speed (about 950 kms/hour), the outside temperature (-64° C), and the distance to destination, as the programme of the movies were proposing “Spiderman 2”, “Collateral” and such not interesting things as for me …

When I saw this sea of clouds, the sun was rising and we were about to arrive. It was 8 am (7 hours more than in Paris), my night had disappeared in the clouds … the day in Hong Kong was beginning and the adventure too !!!
