Photographer's Note
Asleep at the wheel...
Behind the wheel of sleep...
No sleep 'til Guilin...
---
People in China seem to have a knack for naps. In between jobs, or just when work is low, sometimes just for a couple of minutes, many people have a short power nap.
It seems sleeping on the job can be OK. Maybe it is healthy. It probably depends on the job you do, but still...I'm jealous sometimes.
---
This picture was shot at a bus station. We were in our bus waiting for it to depart, the driver in the bus next to ours was having a power nap, waiting until it was time for his bus to depart.

"Everybody seems to think I'm lazy
I don't mind, I think they're crazy
Running everywhere at such a speed
Till they find there's no need (there's no need)
Please, don't spoil my day, I'm miles away
And after all I'm only sleeping"
- John Lennon

PS: I believe one shouldn't really take pictures of people who are sleeping,
but sometimes I make exceptions. Sometimes.

Hi Benny
This is simple happy street scene for sure, great candid so well observed and captured timely that works to include some nice striking colors to catch the eyes. That as always the small tight frame within and the slumber man serve a great draw being the central viewpoint with lovely juxtaposition to the blue script. It works well and adds a bit of humour I think. The composition, colors combination all collaborate to make this a fine picture. Congrats, TFS.
Kind regards

Salut Benny,
C'est vraiment chouette comme cadrage pris sur le "vif" (si on peut dire)!
La présence des couleurs = juste ce qu'il faut pour attirer le regard, pas trop ni trop peu.
J'aime beaucoup!
Bon week end,

Hi Benny,
love this crop. I think it deserves a lot more points that it has gathered. Definitely better than a lot of shots over here...
I love how the ideograms counter-balance the sleeping guy. And of course, love the Beatles song...
Cheers,
Philippe

Wonderful POV, Benny, and certainly an unusual and effective choice of framing, giving most of the shot over to the side of the bus and cutting off both the window and the writing. It keeps the shot off balance in a dynamic way. Nice and bright... I'm curious, though, why you shot at 400 ISO? Of course, it's possible you did what I do constantly, which is simply forget I changed the settings... That's always a cause for a head smack down the line!

Hi dear Benny
Wow another impressive image shot as your taste and your own originality. Cropping portion is the best balance. Full of your humor sense! Thanks for your sharing and have a good weekend!

Hello Benny,
The frame in frame effect is a brilliant idea in this street scene. It structures the composition and is a proof of your shooting skills. Congratulations for this almost cinematographic touch.
