Photographer's Note

The Kanas region of Xinjiang Province has lots of semi-nomads living in the summer in their yurts along main roads selling sheep meat and leaving for a city in the autumn before the big snow arrives. My driver stopped at this roadside sheep meat "restaurant" on the way back from a day trip to wash his car in the small river.
This type of barbecue "grill" is very common here.

Hello Peter, Nice view of the yurts in the autumn setting. Nice place to stop.
Recently, I have been also on the Silk Road and have seen the yurts in Uzbekistan.
