Photographer's Note
Without any pp, I just want to send you my regards from Georgia.
Yesterday we (me with my friend Barbara) came to Kutaisi. When we were approaching Kutaisi, the pilot first said that we would land soon, but some minutes later said there was a strong wind 70 km/h, visibility 20 m, snow storm and we have to go to Tbilisi. Well, what can be done. After half an hour he sid we would just land in Tbilisi but a moment later he said that the weather improved, we had enough fuel so we turned back to Kutaisi. There we had to wait half an hour for the stairs, they were in ice. We took the marshrutka and it took us directly to our hotel, it was already around nine in the night.
Today we went early in the morning to the bus station and almost immediately we went by marshroutka to Vardzia, The driver waited for us 1,5 hour and took us back to A. all for 20 lari. then we went to Rabath but we saw only part, it was closed already.
When we went from Kutaisi in the morning there was quite a lot of snow. Bur gradually the snow melted and in Varedzia it was OK. Fortunately because the way would be difficult and slippery with snow.
.
This is the stone vertical town that Paul showed earlier.

Hi Malgo,
What a journey! Worth it though to get such an interesting photo. Lovely detail in the town carved into the rock.
Best wishes, Ann

Ciao Malgorzata,
Amicalement

Hello Malgo
That is a great view showing the full grandeur of the ancient rock cut settlement in exquisite detail and lovely natural colours. I feel you managed the exposure really well to get the level of detail in a difficult light situation. The included scenery gives an idea of the surroundings and adds to the atmosphere of desolation and mystery. Thanks for sharing this superb picture. Your note is a great story of adventure :-).
Have a nice evening.
best regards
Satya

Hi Malgo,
Even on your travels you're still active online...slow down and enjoy the trip already! :) Happy to hear from you though, looks as if you're already making good use of the time. I remember this place well from Paul's pictures, and it's just as impressive to see again. No need for PP work when we get this kind of detail and natural colors. Travel safe, take good care. All the best.
Friendly wishes,
Jason

Hello Malgo,
This reminds me a bit of the Lycian rock tombs and a bit of Cappadocia. I think I am going to like your series from Georgia and Armenia. This is a very good photo considering no postprocessing has been done on it.
Regards,
MT
PS. Of the three people I wanted to meet in Istanbul, I was only able to meet up with Chris Jules (ChrisJ). I met him on the day before I flew back to the US. I'll post a workshop photo of him when I get to that day.
