Photographer's Note
You will find these Artist all along the coastal lines.
They make great sand sculptures [specially, of Gods].
Here it is the idol of Shiva in progress.
Actually, I tried to shot one Shiva face last night, and failed due to light problem. This morning I first visited the same place again to see what happened to the fate of the sculpture during night. When I reached there I found the artist working and felt this man is unconscious about the surrounding. He is paying his devotion to Shiva.
I waited to have a talk with the man.
After a long, I went back without talking to the artist, because he was working in such a mood that he won't finish up at all.
Later I found in the shot one more thing.
Balarka (the young sun was also paying his devotion to Shiva).
Sequel of Apu and Durga

Good capture, Kausik. Interesting face of Shiva from the sand. Young artist. Good colours and sharpness. I like it.

Hi Kausik,
just had a talk with Prakash mentioning you, fine that you posted this shot, an excllent Indian subject, honoring Shiva in the sand and with a clear sharp colored photo, good with the watching people on the side.

I wish I could shake hand of the artist, and shake your hand as well.
The light over face of statue is just accurate and attractive.
Thanks.

Wow Kausik, what a artist!
Very nice picture with the artist in the middle, also the sea in the background make your image colourful. A pity Kausik but to level the horizon!!!
Have a nice weekend,

Hello Kausik,
I really admire these artists that can make such beautiful sculptures out of plain sand. The morning light is wonderful and shows us all the details of Shiva's face. I like your composition showing the people watching the artist at work, though I would have preferred not to have the guy with his camera in the foreground, blocking out part of the little girl's head.

Great composition. You have managed to capture the modulations and textures of the sand by having the light at the perfect angle.
All the best,
Anil

An intersting shot Kausik, I have never come across this on the beach before. I like how you have included the other spectactators just on the sideline of the shot. Nice light.

Hi Kausik
Indeed a fine job and made of "real" sand I presume :-)
I many parts of the world this artworks made by special prepared sand and afterward preserved with some kind of oil.
Thanks for sharing and adding to the theme.
