Balcony and Windows : This shot belongs to my Darjeeling days.You can see the windows and balcony of a Raj Era Mansion near the Mall.The stone walls were a common feature in the cottages and mansions of the Raj Era and were built in the Victorian Style.Hope you like this simple shot.

Hello Farhat,
A nice photo, especially the part with the windows. The flower pots are very pretty and brighten the grey wall. There are many other fine details as well.

Hi Farhat,

A very pleasing collection of windows indeed. Often times it's the simplest of things that make for the most appealing images, and this would certainly have a place in that category. :) I like the single pot of flowers along each ledge, adding a touch of color and contrast to the brick facade. This is one of the best in your photo gallery. In one year your photo skill improved in excellent way.
This has to be one of the beautiful buildings in Darjeeling with the side light hitting the nice stone façade. Interesting architecture with nice windows and great façade patterns has greatly contributed to this impressive shot coupled by nice light and shadows. Stunning shot, a pleasure to view. a charming house front, it must be a house policy to have just one single flower pot on the window sill :-)
Those stones used for the house are very attractive indeed and the balcony looks big enough to be of real use as an additional outdoor room.

I like very much how you used your rewarding point of view not to present the whole of the mansion but an elegant composition of details. There's enough information to get an idea of the style of the house and its inhabitants but also enough mystery to keep us exploring the picture for a long time. I like how the cool chromatic tones are interrupted here and there by brightly coloured details. Very interesting work, congratulations and thank you!

When I good see is a small sun panel against the window on the highest window to the left.
You chose a nice moment very close, with all details of the windows and balconies.
But your picture is wonderful and very pleasant to look at.
Colours and sharpness are attractive.

Each window has flowers, that is nice custom. I have seen many flowers in India, but not that somebody would have flowers in a vase in the window. WEll seen and captures

A marvellous photo of this mansion, showing us as much in its own way as a larger scale shot of the whole building. Superb composition which creates real depth, and uses the carved pattern in white at the top to enhance your framing. Good detail in the texture of the walls. Nice work indeed!

Hello Farhat,

You're capturing well this architecture by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the tasteful mansion with Victorian style. It seems to a good structure with brick outer wall, lovely windows and balcony. And, the flower set to the window draws out a gentle atmosphere in this image.

That quite a "spirited" view indeed in wich the bold antique design is beautifully enliven of bouquets.
A window is open at lower left; probably in accordance with the saying "one must speak to flowers so they will grow healtier"!!
