Photographer's Note
On our way from Dawhill(6200ft) near Kurseong (4864ft) to Mongpoo (3759ft) we met the clouds just after Dawhill. It was about 11.00 hours. The caps/heads seen are of our team members.
Dawhill is a fantastic place just above Kurseong at a 20 minutes motor journey (abt5 kms, +1400ft). A girls school (about 80 years old) and a primary school (Davies' Primary School, telling the story since 100 years back) with a very small population forms Dawhill.

Beautiful fog suspended in thetrees. I would have cropped the people out of the bottom, otherwise a great nature shot.

Nice shot, you've captured the fog well and we really get a sense of height from the angle youve taken the image.

Hi Kausik
Nice picture and all the trees pointing to the sky is great. Only I would have cropped all those hats below away. A good picture with a nice mountaincliming atmosphere.
Well done, greetings Albrecht

The Hats minus the rest of the body are a little disturbing but the most important part here is the light and the fog.
I would crop the very bottom and leave the couple on the left almos at the very bottom left hand corner.
Regardless this is a wonderful capture of the ligh and the fog. Nice greens too.

Hi Kaud,
Beautiful forest scene,
is this far from Kolkata? I like how the people give it a sense of size.

Hi Kausik,
you captured the fog effect in an incredibly beautiful way. I like particularly the presence of differently lightened greens, and the dark, tall trees, pointing toward the sky, well standing out against the white backgoround, fully justify the evocative title

Hi Kausik,
Great atmosphere and skillfully captured. I find the occasional burst of light and green very interesting and makes the scene lively. The different shades of the tree trunks create good rhythm. Splendid shot!!! Regards.

Hi Kausik, very moody picture, I like the perspective here, everthing leads us to that window between the trees. I like the mood that is created by the fog.
I wouldl have cropped a little bit more at the bottom, just above those heads, now they are cur anyway, and not visible.

when you do good, one asks for better.
nice capture of the mist and fog, typical of Darjeeling hills, the natural surroundings are again calling me.
very good take.

Hi Kausik,
I like always the bit fog between the trees, also the game with sun and shadows are here very attractive, what my be conspicuous, are the people very small against the big trees!
Have a nice weekend,
John.

Nice composition. Lighting and sharpness optimal, with a little note of mystery about what is in the other side? ...Congratulations Kausik!

a great light you caught here kausik. this is a very nice image. i think I would have cropped the hats of your team, even though it's kind of funny.
i love this landscape.

Hie Kausik. I loved this composition. I would shoot the same, in getting those trees with the mist rolling among it. But I would let everyone get off the scene first. In a way, they are distracting. You might like to crop off the heads/caps Kausik. They are not doing justice to your work here.

Well made moody shot K. where I especially like the inclusion of the people in there. Well choosen pov - effectful with the low shooting position

hi Kausik
great interplay of light, clouds and trees you have here ... very nice and crispy shot
my only suggestion would be about the people at the bottom of the frame ... i think it might have been a good idea to either completely obliterate them in the photo or taken some more part of them
cheers .... sarju

nice fresh green feel captured here. strangely, even the softness of the focussing works well. i think the workshop version is on the right track with the cropping, but it would be even better if you showed more of the people trekking. cheers,

Very good shot, Kausik. First, we admire the forest, but with little to draw the attention to specifically, the verticals of the trees drawing our eye to the top. Then, we see the 2 people, diminutive in that great landscape but so important to the shot, as the eye has found the element enriching the composition with a human touch. Well seen and well done!

A great photo. The misty forest has been captured well. Only the half-cut faces at the bottom are a bit of a disturbance.

Hi Kausik
Great captured cluds in the forest. Some of the trees are lightet up by Sun as I see. Beautiful contrast between two part of the forest.

Excellent shot Kausik,
the confined clouds between the trees is simply gorgeous, I'm just wondering how would it have felt standing right in front of it.
lovely detail and clarity,
POV is great as well as the framing :)
Cheers TFS,

hi,
nice shot. truely excellent. makes the heart full of joy. i however feel, like many others, that the heads and hats at the bottom of the picture should not have been there

Very nice Kausik!
you captured very well that forest and also the fog/clouds.
great light that filtred between the trees.
i think that without the head and the hats on the low side of the image...should be better!
thanks, ciao

Great atmosphere Kausik, the mist is really wonderful. I think I'd like to see the converging verticals straightened out though.Cropping a little from the bottom would help too.

Hi Kausik,
Was there in Dowhill last month. It is truly a wonderful place. However it was sunny and I wasn't fortunate enough to get this misty feel. Shot some sunset images from the Victoria School Campus but nothing worthwhile.
Your image is an excellent documentary of the Darjeeling hills. But yes....the heads popping up at the bottom was unnecessary.
