Photographer's Note
Forest Rest House : This shot was taken at the Forest Rest House at Sukna under Mahananda Wild life Sanctuary. This is the typical Forest Rest House in North Bengal.A forest rest house is basically used by the senior officers of Forest Department and other Senior Govt. Officials during their stay in the area and is controlled by the Forest Department. The whole structure is made of Saal and Teak woods and rested upon high concrete pillars to avoid the access of local wild animals which can include tigers and leopards. The rooms are very spacious and very comfortable in all seasons. The furniture are mainly made from local teak wood. The hospitality of the Forest staff at the Rest House is simply too good and unforgettable.

Hello Farhat,
It has a certain charm this rustic looking rest-house. The angle of view though a little tight shows the architecture to good effect. The image is nicely lit and has good colours and sharpness.

Hi Farhat,
With tigers and leopards roaming the land, I too would want my rest house to be on stilts! I would imagine the sounds of the forest at night would be an amazing thing to hear from this place. Its a beautiful building, not as I would expect a civil building of its type to be. The canopy and the railing around the upper floor are very elegant and the red brick and green wood look very well together.
You composed this really well to set the building in its forest habitat too. Nicely done!
Cheers

Hello Farhat, from your well chosen view point you have shown the most impressive and attractive architecture of the building very well. With the surrounding fences and high brick pillars it does indeed appear to be most secure from unwanted intruders.
Kind regards Les.

Hello Farhat,
The building is very charming and attractive, a little architectural gem reminding us of older days. The colours are very nice and your POV probably captures the best of it. One question arises: Wouldn't a tiger or a lepard be able to climb the staircase?
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Farhat
The house looks secure enough from Tigers on its stilts and quite comfortable as well. I can easily believe that a stay at the Sanctuary is unforgettable. Nice light and colors.

Hi Farhat,
Interesting place, your note describes it well...and without it I would have no idea or understanding of the elevated foundation. Safe to say you wouldn't want a tiger to casually walk up to the front door! :) I love the rustic nature of the woods and the texture from the brick, good contrast of elements. I especially like the angle here, showing the dimension on each side with the rooftop coming to a point at the top of the frame. Nicely composed and detailed. Have a great week ahead.
All the best,
Jason

Hi Farhat,
The trees are framing well the house. The point of view is showing a double perspective of the architecture of the house. The light has a good effect on the colours. Have a nice day.

hi Fabbs
Informative note about this unique building. I like the colours in the shot and your POV.
Doesn't it seem odd that they put the house on stilts to keep out the tigers and then have steps leading right up to the front door!

Hello Farhat,
You're capturing well this architecture by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see Forest Rest House with high concrete pillars and a good structure. Teak woods seems to have melted in the natural environment here together well. And, it's impressive in balcony of second floor.
Kind regards,

Hi Farhat,
The framing is a bit too tight for my taste, but the colors are wonderful. The pp has helped the sky immensely. Very well done!

Hello Farhat,
a very interesting building that serves a special purpose and your note makes us pay closer attention to its particular features. There's great depth and clarity and, in spite of the tight framing, the impression we get is thorough and rewarding. You've managed the contradictory lighting very effectively and the colours are lovely. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,
Ourania

Namaste Farhat,
you have chosen an efficient framing and a good low-angle shot in order to emphasize the shapes and the elements of this big wooden house, with a nice perspective.
Colors and light are managed well, it's a good work.

Namaste dear Farhat
I really like the strong colours in this photo, which have also accentuated the textures. Personally I would have allowed a little more room between the roof and the edge of the frame at the top, but this is a personal choice. A good, sharp and well-composed shot.
Well done!
