Photographer's Note
As most of you already know, usually i'm very particular about photo quality - so let me say first, I know this photo isn't sharp and clear. However, I still want to post it.
Just look at the photo from far away, not too close up haha.
What happened is that I wasn't ready. I was looking in the opposite direction and when I turned around these two were directly in front of me. Realising its a photo opp, I quickly tried to capture it, it didn't turn out that great, but who the heck cares.
We were up super early for breakfast, the early morning fog still hasn't lifted, its chilly, its a bit damp, and yet there are still men at work.
This was taken at a local eatery directly off the road side. Think of it as if it were a Truck Stop for long haul truckers :) Basically the same thing. They served simple food, quick to cook and eat. Some Roti and great Indian Chai.
I'll post this, another one, and some WS photos to go along with it.
Hope you enjoy these

Like? I love these two shots, Craig! Blissfully imperfect, but with lots of atmosphere. I think both deserve being posted as main post here. The WS shot is just as good, if not better.

Hello Craig,
I'm glad every time you and Malgo go back to your Indian files. It's such a photogenic country that everyone who's been there seems to have an endless number of unposted photos. I don't care much if a photo is not perfect as long as it shows something interesting. In India nearly everything is interesting. Besides, this is not bad at all. It's quite simple, but it's very different from the usual tourist photos and it gives me so many memories of damp and chilly early mornings on the road in northern India. The trucks and carts and that kind of striped huge bags are all so familiar.
Just a couple of words about the geography. If this is in Uttar Pradesh it's not in Delhi (which is spelled like that).
Best wishes,
Gert

Hello Craig,
A great daily life photo, I think the unsharpness works really well here, it adds to the mood of the morning when the men were out early to start their working day. Also the fog goes really well with the subject of the photo. Excellent photo.
Lars
PS - It was photo #80 from Canada and the 25th in 2019 series, so I quite like those numbers. :-) My Calgary photos from the end of the trip will hopefully get Canada to 100.

Pozdrav.
Vazno je uhvatiti trenutak pokazati ga.
Veliki tovar za malog konja.
Lepo pokazano sa fotografijama u radionici, lep kamion.
Dobro uhvacen trenutak sa biciklistom koji prati konjska kola.
Zelim vam sve najbolje.
Paja.
Greeting.
It is important to capture the moment to show it.
Big load for a little horse.
Nicely shown with photos in the workshop, nice truck.
A well-captured moment with a cyclist accompanying a horse-drawn carriage.
I wish you all the best.

Hello Craig
You could of course have placd one of the excellent workshop photos on the front page, but this foggy photo is of course the best choice. Not despite he is not completely sharp, but just because it is not completely sharp. It is precisely this small imperfection that determines the mood of the photo, but you knew that yourself, I think. 😉
Excellent presentation
Have a nice day. Groet Rob

Hello Craig, the slight lack of sharpness actually adds to the overall effect, with the misty atmosphere giving us a real sense of early morning.
That poor pony having to pull the cart full of something!
The title is very good, and invites us to take a good look.
Interesting notes.
Kind regards
Jean

Hi Craig, funny title and no problem for the quality, just this isn't sharp while the 2 WS are perfects. I like a lot foggy atmopsheres, and these are very original and different, not the usual channels of forest trees but daily life scenes,i like it! Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello Craig Lot of soul emanates from this mini caravan composed of the wide load vehicle brought to attention by the tail signaler unfortunately deprived of the usual yellow flashers! A foggy picture can't get tac sharp, you know better than me! So don't worry, the rustic mood prevails over your concerns! Cheers

Hi Craig,
The fog is adding a special mood to the scene. You have captured well the movement of the cart pull by a donkey and the cyclist trying to pass it. A nice daily life scene, have a nice day.

Bonjour, cher Craig,
J'aime ce genre de réalisations photographiques pris à la volée, c'est ce qui donne de la force au sujet.
C'est un autre monde à voir les moyens de transport !
Très bon sujet.
Amitiés.

Hello Craig, These are nice photos but in fact, I think that you could do better. The scenes in the street, and especially transportation are usually more interesting. For instance, it is not a horse but a camel, or elephant, or they are so overladed that it is difficult to imagine. it is just an ordinary view. I often ate in such a local eatery. The view of the six blond elderly ladies always was interesting for the locals and they gathered around us. Hmm, what memories.
Have a nice day

Hello Craig,
I was twice in Delhi in summertime in the early 1990s and afterwards I heard often of the smog in the city and the quite cold temperatures at night in winter.
So I often wondered how it would be now.
This picture has been taken at the end of winter and the man sitting on the load seems to be cold anyway. The cyclist, on the other hand, does not give that impression.
The picture shows well an attractive atmosphere.
Best regards, Paul

Great story photos, all three. Looks like a very heavy load. Actually I feel sorry for the horse. Asian trucks are often well decorated wording off harm. Clear daily life demonstrated. Glad you favor the moment caught over some other factors - as a positive for you, your less quality technically photos are better than many who maximize it. These are well done.

Hello Craig,
I have just critiqued a photograph of Paul's from India and you would hardly believe that it was the same country! That's the fun of seeing different people's experiences!
This is grey and damp, with the contrast of three different types of transport in the one shot! Three different types of wheels, all nicely grouped!
That poor horse looks to have a huge load to contend with, whilst the guy on the bike could possibly be transporting just a container of milk!
Really interesting shots.
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)

Hi Craig,
It is sharp on the right places. I like pan shots and it is not easy to succeed with. Motion blur looks great especially on the feet of the donkey. Foggy air adds special atmosphere.

Hello Craig,
Considering the thick fog and weak diffused light it is not surprising the image appears unsharp. I'd say the cyclist won. The skinny legs of the horse don't look suited to a fast gallop. Tfs!

Hi Craig
the picture is not pin sharp, but you got a good mood of the early daylife in India with a lot of light grey hues making me think of a real dream.
In fact, YOU're the winner
Hats off!

Fantástica tua série fotográfica da Índia. A imagem captada aqui é absolutamente incomum para a paisagem a que estamos acostumados a viver. Lindo trabalho.

Hi Craig,
When I saw this, I thought it was one of my photos ! Ha ! Ha ! Only joking ! But I did take a similar picture in Tiruvanamalai (!!) in Tamil Nadu in 2013.
I like the blurred effect. It accentuates the feeling of early morning. And of course, the cyclist is also an eye-catcher.
Well done !
I hope you don’t mind me posting my picture as WS.
Best regards.
Marie-Louise.
