removed noise and added frame

On our trek to Chandratal in the Himalayas, we lost our way and stumbled upon this lake and initially mistook it for Chandratal. Later having found the real Chandratal, we named this Chhota(Little) Chandratal. The view in the backdrop was the CB range having the highest peak of the region Mulkila Peak and the Samudratapu Glacier emanating from it. There was a herd of sheep followed by a shepherd on the other side of the lake having their reflection in the clear waters of Chhota Chandratal.

To reach this place, you have to cross Rohtang La coming from Manali and then proceed left towards Kunzum La. After passing through Chhatru n Chhota Dara, you reach Batal, which is around 150 Kms from Manali n 15 Kms from Chandratal. Although a couple of those 15 Kms is motorable, it is better to start trekking from Batal itself.

Here is an uploaded photo of hauntingly beautiful Chandratal on TE.

See Chandratal for more details.
