Photographer's Note

Ki Monastery is a thousand-year-old Buddhist gompa located in the remote region of Spiti in the Indian Himalayas. The passes into this area are blocked by snow for six months of the year, thus the Tibetan culture here has remained intact.

I took this photograph around 5pm for good light and shade thing you get at that time. to my utter surprise, a bus full of visitors came from thin air and noise of shutter clicking from every corner poured across the roadside. So my wisedom had no takers and we ALL had same perspective, same compo and yes, same monastery. I tried to do the thing with lessened saturation, don't to what extent it's working.

Did I tell you that there's a school inside the monastery and all the teachers up there ( Chhering chodden, Parveen, Dorje, Surender,Kalzang, Chhimid) are now good friend of mine. Thanks everyone up there, I owe you a lot.
