Varnasi is closely associated with the holy river ganga, and a lot of daily activities take place on the ghats of the river.in this shot a boat laden with logs is seen in silhouette.these logs are carried to the various ghats,steps leading to the banks of River,where dead bodies are cremated on these logs.

Hello Dwaipayan,
I have seen similar scene on TE already but in tighter framing. This one offers slightly wider view which includes also plenty of the scenery around. I like how the bridge in the distance frames the image at the top and how people washing clothes in the river have been placed in the composition. The colors of the sunset add very special atmosphere to the picture.

per questa devo farti i miei complimenti.
La scena è molto bella ed è stata ripresa in maniera eccellente, sia come composizione che come tecnica.
Un dosaggio della luce perfetta permette di cogliere ogni più minuto dettaglio senza per questo eliminare il fascino di una luce solare debole che disegna silhouettes magiche sullo sfondo del fiume.

in the middle of the shot looks so far
a snhot that has many interesting
details people in the foreground
washing clothes and the colors

Hello Dwaipayan,
A very fine capture of theses dhobis beating their linen in the river. The depth of field is great, keeping a touch of detail in the background to keep the context of what is happening. The soft morning sun reflecting on the water gives a warm glow and a very peaceful feeling to the scene. A great timely capture and an interesting note, too.

Hi, Dwaipayan, again!
This is very creative idea to take this view in the sunset lights. This is the Gang, and this view and this scene reminds me another places on the Mekong River in Laos. The train bridge on the background told us about the present days. ;)

Impressive composition I love the juxtaposition between the silhouetted wallahs and the moving barge shrouded by subtle low morning light and warmity on the dominant is fantastic. The positioning of the sun is effective, as is the contrast with the foreground plus the surface of the shiny calm water. Very well seen and lovely tranquil feel to this super shot with plenty of depth and detail in such a beautiful setting. Lovely how you caught the rising sun & how it carries on through to the wonderful scene. A pleasure to view, simply gorgeous! Congrats and TFS

Hello Dwaipayan.
That's a splendid photo containing all the oriental mystery of India. And some realism, too. The colors of the dawn are natural and delicate - and the silhuettes of the working men and the passing boat with the old iron bridge in the BG; thes things are all elements in a top capture.
