Photographer's Note

The peak is Mt Shivling, the place where Shiva's locks fell to earth. The shot is taken from the other side of an alpine meadow "Tapovan' which is about 4,500 m altitude.
The sadhu in the foreground's name is Nilgiri, meaning 'blue mountain'; i trekked 20 km to here with him, partly over a glacier- he did it barefoot, and got quite sick to show for it.
Truly the most spectacular, beautiful, peaceful & awe inspiring place i have ever been.
