Photographer's Note
Road to Rumtek : This is another image from Rumtek. The colorful buildings in the background are the Monastery Buildings within the Rumtek Monastery Campus. This shot was taken from the road outside the monastery. It has some colorful elements of the surroundings. The area is very peaceful and serene and perfect for deep meditations and prayers around 24 km from the little hustle bustle of the somewhat busy life in Gangtok. The Rumtek campus includes the main shrine-temple, the monastery, a retreat centre, a monastic college (Shedra), a nuns' hostel, some stupas, a protectors shrine, other establishments for the community and other religious institutions. The day was a bit too overcast and foggy as a result could not get any colors from the otherwise blue wintry sky of January.

Hi Farhat
Having seen your shots of the monastery here, it's nice to be able to appreciate the road that leads here, and it too is unique and a fascinating subject. The red wall makes a really good focal point, and there is great depth.
All the best

Hello Farhat,
Despite the fact that the weather wasn't very clear, the many colourful paintings and buildings provide anything but a monotonous image.
In this green langscape the vivid red wall is visible from far and wide.
Beautiful presentation with an excellent DOF.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Farhat. Incredible colours along the road of this charming place. Some of the buildings look relatively new or maybe they are just lovingly looked after. Regards. Salam. Klaudio.

Bonjour Farhat,
On s'imagine difficilement des couleurs aussi vives dans ces montagnes. Cela donne un aspect très spécial à l'endroit. De quoi attirer les photographes.

Hello Farhat
Shown with rigorous verticals (wich I like so much and practice myself) clings on hill side this colourful eye-catcher that enlights of its majesty the small village road for a "riveting" poster!
Cheers.

Ciao Farhat
Complimenti!
Ciao e buona serata

Hi Farhat,
The diagonal line of the road is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colours of the architecture of the buildings. The hazy sky does not hurt the output of the colours. Have a nice day.

Hola Farhat
Fascinated with your captures of Sikkim, also very difficult to visit, hope to go sometime
It doesn't matter the sky, the color is given by the monastery, vegetation and the street
Good POF
Congrats and keep posting

Hello Farhat,
this is a fascinating road and I think that the moody and melancholic atmosphere adds to its allure. I like very much the perspectives that design the road and define the buildings. The vivid yellow and red colours stand out superbly in an ambiance of neutral, dark or faded tonalities. All windows are shut and the place looks deserted, calm and mysterious. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,
Ourania

Namaste Farhat,
the deep perspective of the road, and the vivid colors of the Monastery Buildings, create a very colorful composition, with a great graphical wealth.
It's a beautiful shot.

Hallo Farhat
By your description could know of the monastery existence here. Monks can be retired in the quieteness. Like them I ever avoid to step ants, snails etc. However most people do not care with it. Each person is a soul. I hope such soul will be eternal. In this photo to road is in declive and must be hard to walk climbing it. I also like the big tree at the right side. ( I hope men will get to plant them in Mars ). Have a good day. Domingos
