Photographer's Note

At about 40kms north of Panjim, the state capital of Goa, there is a place called Juve island, with a small and peaceful village of about 30 houses, surrounded by palm trees and betel nut trees.

While walking through the small island, we spotted a canoe in the shade among the reflections...

WOW, Marilyn you've capture a beautiful POV of some of the most excellent reflections with stunning colors. Beautiful clarity and details showing an array of colors reflecting off the water and the canoe is a super bonus with its own reflections. Fantastic light management creating the perfect photo here. A very well spotted and captured with the canoe to give the sense of reality. Love the wiggly mild ripples and the different layers of awesome warm colours combined, tis makes an excellent abstract from the reflections and the effect of distortion and patterns. Water reflections always make such a good picture with all the right elements there to reflect such a creative vision, Gorgeous shot. Well done

Hello Marilyn - The impressionistic reflections make such a beautiful back cloth for the small wooden canoe. I like the water and leaf in the canoe itself. Perhaps the balance of the shot us not the best but sometimes the circumstances dictate the composition. Lovely work. Warm regards Rosemary

Hello Marilyn,
these reflections that fill the whole frame are very spectacular and attractive. The intensity of the bright colours, the subtle ripples and circles all over them, the fantastic contrast with the darker colours make them so beautiful and fascinating. The canoe lies absolutely still on them, its dark reflection is a wonderful contribution to this work of art. I also like the white outline around the canoe and the puddle in it. Lighting and clarity are excellent. Congratulations and thank you!

quelles merveilleuses couleurs, ces verts et ces jaunes plutôt inhabituels.
