Photographer's Note
Everywhere in India, as soon as road works, demolition or construction yards are in progress you will see a noria of women, their heads heavily loaded with vasks of stones, clay or screenings, walking like a file of ants towards their destination. Then again and again ....!

Hi Patrick,
Perhaps this in India is a daily scene, but to me from my screen in Ireland, it is so exotic and makes such a wonderful subject. The colors are striking and you have composed the entire scene so beautifully and perfectly. The wall to the right adds an extra level of texture which contrasts to well to the soft detail of the womens clothes, while the lady in yellow and her pose and smile make me smile.
The way these ladies are posing makes me feel like you had a great connection to them in this, a great skill and one so important to take a portrait such as this.
Thanks as always
Noel

Hello Patrick
another charming shot from my country... The lady in the foreground is perhaps overwhelmed :-) by your attention while the one in the yellow sari is enjoying the fun!
It's a lovely depiction of daily life with great composition and lovely vibrant colours.

Hi Patrick
Intresting daily life scene. The three ladies wear different dresses and the expressions on their faces vary considerably but they all look intrigued by the fact you are taking a photo of them.
Have a nice weekend

Hello Patrick,
that is an interesting trio of the ladies, each one in different colors. Their bright and cheerful clothes make fine contrast against more settled background.Well framed and with great focus.
Thanks for sharing

Hi Patrick
a beautiful study this. I am always amazed at the strength of these ladies carrying huge and heavy loads on their heads. They must have incredible neck muscles but do wonder how much strain and compression this puts on their spines. Another wonderfully executed and presented image from you.
Have an enjoyable weekend - B.

Hell Patrick,
It's a miracle that they managed to look so clean and nice considering their kind of job. I wouldn't be carrying dirt wearing my best clothes. I probably wouldn't even manage a smile like these ladies. Maybe it helps to be working in such nice surroundings.
Kind regards,
Gert

Hello Patrick _ I have yet to visit India but when we were in Bhutan we saw many Indian women building roads. I was astonished and possibly more so to see tiny toddlers with them, the roads crossed precipitous heights with drops that made me wonder at the advisability of allowing small children to play in such places. It really brought home what privileged lives we live.
A wonderful shot. The cleanliness of the ladies, all of whom look elegant and pretty in their bright clothing, is amazing considering the work they do. And look at their faces, no sign of hardship is there?
TFS this.
Warm regards
Rosemary

Hello Patrick
They may be hard at work, but they make a very beguiling group portrait. The colourful saris, and even the tailgate of the truck (?) on the right add brightness to the scene. Lovely range of expressions!

Hi Patrick
Wonder how we can we ignore those colourful women, the very engaging warm faces which suprised by your lens perhaps, but they turn this shot alive in equally colourful surroundings, and the load adds an additional interest. The placement, pose and eye contact are most attractive as they speak to us directly. Excellent street people picture. Congrats

Ciao Patrick
Complimenti
Ciao e buona serata

Bonjour Patrick,
An impressive balancing act, and an image full of vibrant color. The textures are terrific and the daily life aspect links up well with your note. What I enjoy the most however are the three varied expressions you've captured with this shot, each woman stands alone and draws a different reaction. I can't help but smile though in exchange with the woman on the left, she helps liven the scene. Wonderful shot, and display of human characteristics. Enjoy the new day. All the best.
Friendly wishes,
Jason
